Each student has the right to receive a great education. Although all students have a unique personality, learning style, ability, etc., every student will have these same expectations:
1. Maximum effort- Each student will be expected to put his/her best effort into the course assignments, tests, etc.
"The mental part of life is always more important, and you have to give 100% whether you're a football player or a taxi driver. You might be able to fool your customers, but you can't fool yourself."
-Coach O, Captain of the 1963 University of Michigan football team and former player for the Buffalo Bills
2. Respect- Each student will be expected to show the utmost respect to the fellow students, the teacher, and any other visitors to the classroom, i.e. substitute teachers, teacher assistants, student teachers, etc.
3. Accountability/Responsibility- Each students will be expected to complete his/her course work. If a student misses an assignment or misses a day of school, it is his/her responsibility to ask the teacher for the assignment. Chapter assignments must be completed before the test on the unit of which the assignments were assigned.
4. Teamwork- Each student will be expected to contribute to their team during a cooperative lesson or group work. Others will be expected to respect the others in their group, as well as the other groups in the class. Working effectively as a member of a group is an important quality that students will use for their entire lives.
